Glaucoma

 

This is a summary about a disease called,Glaucoma.It mainly affects the eyes.It usually happens when the fluid pressure inside the eyes slowly rises,damaging the optic nerve.Often there are no symptoms at first.Without treatment,people with Glaucoma will slowly lose their peripheral or side vision.A comprehensive eye exam can tell if you have Glaucoma.There is no cure for the disease,but it is preventable.Early treatment can help protect your eyes from loosing vision. Eye drops and/or surgery are usually included in treatment
